A Mortgage Should be your Fist Step in Buying a House

Keelin Billue Gubbels Mortgage, New Home Buyer

A first-time homebuyer might think that the mortgage is the last step in the home buying process, but that’s wrong.  Talking to a mortgage professional should be one of the first things you do, if not the very first thing you do.

There is nothing more disappointing than finding your dream home only to find out that you do not qualify for a loan.

Not only can we tell you the amount you can purchase, but we can get you pre-qualified for a mortgage.  Many realtors require you to be pre-qualified before they show you properties.  If a buyer is buying a foreclosure, auction or short sale property, the seller may not sign a contract without seeing proof that the buyer has been pre-approved for financing.

Give us a call so we can help you find a home.

  • Get pre-qualified so you are prepared to shop for a home.
  • Discuss the mortgage process.  Learn what you need to get the financing once you find the home.
  • Get your financing together while you are looking so you aren’t scrambling to buy your dream home.
  • Find out about your funding options.  What type of mortgage should you get?  How much down payment do you need?

If you are working with a realtor, they should be telling you to talk to a mortgage company.  If you don’t have a realtor, feel free to give us a call.  We can recommend realtors to help you find a home once you know how much you can afford.

Also, don’t buy a pair of jeans with just a general idea of your waist size. Think of us as the tape measure. Think of us as the first step to owning a home.
